Beaches

The Ayia Napa coastline is considered the finest with regard to beaches in Cyprus. Extensive golden, sandy beaches cover the area, which attracts the majority of tourists. All along the beaches of Ayia Napa facilities for all sea sports are provided including water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing canoes, pedalos, motor boots, scooters, speedboats, parachutes, scuba diving and more. The Cyprus Tourism Organization supervises the beaches and is responsible for protecting the interests of all tourists. All beaches in Ayia Napa have been awarded with the EU blue flag for their level of cleanliness and the brilliant facilities offered in line with the uniform standards set by the European Union.

Protaras, the tourist area of Paralimni, extends along the eastern coast of Paralimni and extends 10km from the "Kapparis" area to the "Konnos" area. Wonderful beaches with crystal clear waters lie along this lacy coast that have been excellently rated for their water quality, according to the latest bathing water report issued by the European Environment Agency. Most of these beaches are at the same time awarded the Blue Flag, which is a quality symbol awarded on the basis of strict criteria.

Larnaka Beaches


Embraced by the sapphire waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus is surrounded by coast, and as one of the main coastal regions, Larnaka is home to miles of sand, sea and a host of associated leisure and sporting facilities that further enhance its beautiful coastline. A large number of the region’s beaches are holders of various quality awards, including the prestigious EU Blue Flag that recognises the highest standards in cleanliness, water quality, safety and services, whilst there are also disabled facilities available at the main beaches.

Limassol Beaches


A sunlover’s haven, Limassol is blessed with 16 kilometers of beachfront. This long stretch of sandy beaches includes areas with excellent facilities and clear waters that have been awarded with the Blue Flag label (14 beaches). A line of luxurious hotels back much of the seafront ensuring that modern comforts and an abundance of watersports are available.

Some are cosmopolitan, full of madness and fun, some are more remote and some are ideal for families… Meet the beaches of Limassol, spread around the city, and find the one that suits you. Most of them have been awarded with a Blue Flag and they offer facilities such as sunbeds, showers and toilets. Do not forget the unique beach bars, the cafes and restaurants by the beach which offer excellent Mediterranean food and fresh fish.

Paphos Beaches


The strikingly beautiful city of Paphos (Pafos) has about 27 beaches and 50km of coastline. Vacationers and even the local people are spoilt for choices when it comes to beaches and everyone has their favorite.

Mostly, all the beaches are well equipped with up-to-date facilities and lifeguards for protection. More than 12 beaches in the region have been awarded with the coveted ‘blue flag’ which makes it all the more promising. So what are you waiting for? Just grab a sun-block and hit the beach to spend a day lazing around in the sand or do some interesting beach activities. You can also experience a boat or cruise trip in Paphos.

Nicosia Beaches


(Pachyammos & Kato Pyrgos Beaches)
Although located in Nicosia district, due to the Turkish invasion of 1974, the villages of Pachyammos and Kato Pyrgos are now only accessible via the Paphos district reached by-following the A1 and the A6 motorways. After arriving at Paphos, take the B7, then the E704 to find the villages.
